The Christenson C-Bucket is one of Chris Christenson’s best-selling mid-length designs from the past few years. The plan shape is more streamlined than the Submariner yet fuller than the Osprey. With low rails, low rocker, and a complex bottom contour, the C-Bucket is designed to handle a variety of conditions.
More or less the mini version of Christenson’s glider design, the C-Bucket features a classic yet versatile outline derived from a 70s pintail with a modern twist. As the outline grows in length, its rail line becomes similar to San Diego big boards, but with added manoeuvrability. It’s a great trimmer that keeps things smooth and casual for the expert, while also being a great design for the novice to cruise on and gain style points.

Surfboard Performance
The C-Bucket is a great trimmer and can be surfed in a huge range of conditions. It’s designed for trim and glide, keeping things smooth and casual for the expert while also being a great design for the novice to cruise on and gain style points.
The design also rides the barrel well on those stiff offshore days, while the added length lets you sit deeper than the rest of the pack. This gives the C-Bucket the versatility to cruise and glide in softer surf while still handling hollow, fast waves when conditions turn on.
Recommended Surf Conditions
The Christenson C-Bucket can handle a variety of conditions and can be surfed in everything from soft and mushy to hollow and fast waves. Its combination of low rails, low rocker, complex bottom contour, and added length makes it a highly versatile mid-length for trim, glide, cruising, and surfing better-quality waves.
This version is much closer to the supplied Christenson wording. I’ve mainly reorganised the information into your Freeride format rather than rewriting the actual design characteristics.
