Introducing the Lost Big Rig Driver, a high-performance shortboard for the larger, or older surfer who still wants to rip and surf high-performance boards rather than migrate to hybrids or mid-lengths.

This is a Driver that has been scaled up to make things like paddling easier for the older/larger guys. This model was specifically created to suit guys like Cole Houshmand.

The entry rocker is a bit more relaxed and the nose outline is a touch wider, making for an easier paddle through the line-up and wave-catching. Matt has refined the original shape to enhance its performance capabilities, producing a retro fish that really goes.

Surfboard Features
Rocker – Continuous rocker, that accelerates through the tail, under the rear foot, but relaxes in the entry rocker.
Concave – Noticeable double concave through the fins and under the rear foot, to cut through the thoroughly modern, high-performance tail rocker. Single concave throughout, but deepest between the feet and mellowing in the front 2’ and rear 1’ of the board.
Outline – A curvy, catch-free outline, with a modest squash tail, for average surf.
Rails –Thicker centerline, with rolled deck and smooth sloping "not too boxy” rails.
Construction / Fins – PU Polyurethane with 3 Fin Set Up
Glassing – 4x6x4 or 6x6x4 - Size dependable

Surfboard Performance

Recommended Surf Conditions
A curvy, catch-free outline, with a modest squash tail, for average surf.

In surf with enough shape to allow the board to perform off the tail, the Big Rig maintains its high-performance feel while offering easier paddling and wave-catching. In New Zealand, that kind of surf can be seen in lined-up conditions like Raglan when there is enough push to work the board through turns.

For larger or older surfers who still want to surf a scaled-up performance shortboard, the Big Rig is built to keep that Driver feel without dumbing anything down.
