The RNF 96 should bring up memories of the classic Lost movie 5'5" 19" 1/4", with visions of Corey Lopez, Andy Irons and Chris Ward. Surfboard Features
Rocker –Remain engrained to the original proven curves. Rocker with a pulled-in tail to suit performance surfing
Concave – Deeper double to single concave through the rear half, generating speed and control
Foam Distribution – Foam throughout the centre to help with paddling and entry
Outline – A traditional fish outline.Both nose and tail were usually the same width at 12” and remain true, but with more precision, including added curve and width around 6” from the tail.
Rails –Medium rail profile, increasing versatility
Construction / Fins – PU Polyurethane with 2+1 fin setup
Glassing – 4x6x4 or 6x6x4 - Size dependable
Surfboard Performance
The Lost RNF 96 is an extremely versatile surfboard that will keep a smile on your face even when the waves are less than ideal. Matt has refined the original shape to enhance its performance capabilities, producing a retro fish that really goes.
Foam throughout the centre helps with paddling and entry.
We suggest riding the Lost RNF 96 at the same litres as your standard high-performance shortboard, which is about 5 inches shorter.
Recommended Surf Conditions
The RNF 96 is suited to less than ideal waves, where versatility, paddling and entry are important.
In smaller, weaker surf it carries speed through flatter sections, similar to softer beach break conditions like Mount Maunganui. As conditions improve, the increased rocker and pulled-in tail allow it to suit performance surfing while maintaining its versatility.
