Designed to provide maximum paddling power and exceptional drive off the bottom while remaining surprisingly manoeuvrable, the Tank delivers the confidence needed when conditions become serious.
Inspired by the heavy waves of Hawaii's North Shore, including Pipeline, Backdoor and Sunset, the Tank combines extra volume where you need it most with the refined performance characteristics of a true step-up. Rather than feeling like a traditional gun that simply wants to go straight, the Tank retains the responsiveness of a performance shortboard, allowing committed turns, floaters and confident surfing in heavy water.
Surfboard Features
Outline – Based on one of Pyzel's original step-up designs, the Next Step, the refined outline balances paddle power with manoeuvrability for powerful surf.
Rocker – Plenty of rocker provides a high-performance feel in larger, more powerful waves while helping with late drops, increased control and confident rail engagement.
Rails – Thinner rails maintain sensitivity and bite despite the increased overall volume, allowing clean bottom turns and responsive control at speed.
Performance Design – Built to paddle efficiently while retaining the responsiveness of your everyday shortboard, making it ideal when conditions require more foam without sacrificing performance.
Tail – Refined, thinner tail improves hold and control while maintaining drive through committed turns in powerful surf.
Fins – 5 Fin Set up, available in FCS II or Futures

Recommended Sizing
We recommend riding the Tank anywhere from 2" to 10" longer than your everyday shortboard, while adding approximately 1/4" to 3/8" of thickness (increasing as board length increases). In bigger waves, extra foam is always your friend.
